Hey man good work…it really saved the time but m facing just one issue which seems like nobody else is having above. When I click at next button picture do gets toggle to next one but the page beneath it (the page of the post where I have put thumbnails) gets refreshed and jumps to my main web page. Did many changes to your script to hit the prob but no use. Could you please let me know where to fix it? I have submitted my experimental web page in the feed you can check the prob there too. Thanx

Works good on IE and Safari but not so good on Firefox 3.6.17. At the and of loading image all windows colors became black and white. I am using frames. Is it any way to display image at once without any animation?

i have noticed that by implementing this new version of lightbox with auto image resizer, the web page now loads much slower. when i used the previous version on lightbox, the web page loaded very fast. now, the page will be blank for a few minutes as it loads.

is there any solution to this ?

Your fix worked for me. To others, note, only change lines 219 and 306. Changing the size on lines 290/298 breaks the image resize…

Thanks for this great modification. Just what I needed.

The one issue I had was the same as what SteveS and Parker have mentioned; the overlay does not cover the window when the page is scrolled down. I tried amending the lightbox.js file by both methods suggested by SteveS and Parker but without any joy.

An easy solution to the problem that I found the was to modify the CSS and in particular to change the very last last line of the code:

#overlay{ position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; z-index: 90; width: 100%; height: 100%; background-color: #000; }

In the above code simply change the position to “fixed” rather than “absolute”, then the overlay background should always cover the browser area. Seems to do the trick.

I also changed the #lightbox CSS declaration in the CSS file to “fixed” so that the lightbox area stays in the same position even if the page is scrolled, but that’s just my preference.
